Ceramic Frit 101 (Full Frit Transparent Glaze) (1000°C to 1100°C)

Frits are produced from various raw materials, fused into vitreous or semi-vitreous glass. Frits are used for the addition of hazardous materials in a safer form and/or for the addition of water-soluble materials in an insoluble form in a glaze recipe. Adding ceramic frits reduces the firing temperature, improves the surface quality and produces consistent results in a glaze.
