Spirulina Blue Phycocyanin Cosmetic Grade is a naturally-derived ingredient sourced from Spirulina. It is a rich source of antioxidants, and provides a natural blue hue to products. It is non-toxic, safe, and can be used in a variety of cosmetic products.

Phycocyanin is a natural extract from spirulina, blue in colour and antioxidant in nature, used in food colouring and cosmetics for natural colour.

Specifications:

Note: The product is 100% natural; hence, the color can slightly vary batch-wise and fade over time.

Ingredients:

INCI: Spirulina Platensis Extract (and) Trehalose

CAS: 14320-04-08

Recommended Usage Rate: 10%-100% in Cosmetic Formulations

Formulation Guide: -Soaps: For cold process soap, mix 1 teaspoon of the powder with 1 tablespoon of lightweight oil. Add 1 dispersed teaspoon at a time at trace. For melt and pour soap, mix 1 teaspoon of the powder with 1 tablespoon of 99 percent isopropyl alcohol. Add 0.5 dispersed teaspoon at a time to the melted soap. Incorporate into the formula, as desired.

-Other Formulations: Common use levels are 1 teaspoon to 1 tablespoon per kilogram of the base and up to 100% in face/hair masks. Test your final product to ensure optimal performance and no staining. Not recommended for leave-on products.

Shelf Life: 1 Year

Storage Guidelines: Store in plastic/silicone airtight containers, in a cool dry place away from sunlight and protect from humidity.

Caution: Herbal powders are extremely prone to microbial action. Users are requested to exercise caution with respect to the handling and usage of the product. It is always recommended to do a patch/batch test before mass application, formulation and usage. This product is not recommended for internal consumption.
